Minnesota Vikings running back LaTavius Murray signed a a three-year, 15 million dollar contract in the offseason and now he will have a chance to earn it. Cook, who was the starter for the Vikings the first four games, now has a torn ACl and Murray has a chance to take over as the lead back.
Fantasy football Week 4: Latavius Murray, start or sit?
With Dalvin Cook out for the season with a torn ACL, LaTavius Murray is expected to take over the Vikings backfield. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: According to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur believes Murray can replace Dalvin Cook as a high-volume runner. Cook’s 21 touches per game will be divided between Murray and Jerick McKinnon with McKinnon handling the majority of the passing down duties. That leaves Murray for early-down and goal line situation.
The Vikings completely overhauled their offensive line in the offseason bringing in five new starters and it has paid dividends so far. Vikings running backs are averaging over four yards per carry and Sam Bradford could be returning to the lineup this week. Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen should require the Chicago Bears defense to stay honest, leaving some favorable boxes for Murray.
Recommendation: START
