Week 10 of the fantasy football season is here, and we’re back with another crop of start/sit options. We have a nice set of data about each team through six weeks, and can make informed decisions on good plays and traps. With that in mind, we’ll pick quarterbacks who should exceed expectations in Week 10, along with three you should probably sit.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 10 Quarterbacks to consider
We break down the top starting options at quarterback this week, along with some players who should be avoided.

Start
Stafford has really turned it on over the past four weeks, throwing for multiple touchdowns three times and throwing for 423 yards in his lone TD-less effort against a tough Steelers pass defense. Now Stafford gets a home game against one of the worst pass defenses in the league. And with the Lions’ running game struggling and the Browns actually solid against the run, Stafford should continue to throw even if the Lions blow the game out early. It’s a dream spot for Stafford and his owners.
Goff threw four touchdown passes last week against the tanking Giants, and it’s probably unlikely he can duplicate that feat. Or is it? The Texans defense since the injuries to J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus has been torched by opposing quarterbacks, good and bad. Goff has played himself into the good category and should be trusted to exploit the wounded Texans this week.
Taylor gets recently acquired Kelvin Benjamin on the field for the first time this week and he might have Charles Clay back from injury, as well. The Saints defense has been much improved this season, but Taylor has been playing at a high level even without a full complement of weapons. Now that he has a legitimate big-play receiver, Taylor might be poised to take his game to a higher level.
Sit
Rivers has historically struggled when playing on the East Coast in the 1 p.m. time slot. This week, he not only battles Father Time, but the shutdown Jaguars defense. Rivers has topped 250 yards passing just once in the past three weeks and has thrown multiple touchdowns just once in the same span. And that included his most recent effort (East coast, 1 p.m.) against the struggling Patriots defense, when Rivers threw for 212 yards, one TD and one interception.
Kirk Cousins, Washington vs. Minnesota Vikings
Cousins might get Jordan Reed and Jamison Crowder back this week, which certainly improves his chances, but his offensive line remains in tatters. The Vikings are coming off a bye and possess one of the toughest defenses in the league. Cousins has one TD pass in his past two games and should struggle to improve on that this week.
Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have not allowed an opposing quarterback to hit 20 fantasy points in a game this season. They’re coming off a bye this week, so they should have a pretty solid defensive game plan in place. The Colts have fared well offensively the past two weeks, but neither opponent were on Pittsburgh’s level. Expect a letdown for the Colts offense this week.
