Tight end Jason Witten became the go-to weapon for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in the team’s blowout loss Sunday. Witten caught a perfect seven passes on seven targets for 59 yards against the Atlanta Falcons. He led the team in receptions and receiving yards in the contest and had one less target than the Cowboys’ No. 1 WR, Dez Bryant. This was Witten’s first game with over five targets and catches since Oct. 8.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 11: What to do with Jason Witten
Witten’s role increased in Week 10 with the Cowboys struggling to create offense. We break down the fantasy impact.

The Cowboys need Witten to step up Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles while they scramble to keep the offense on track with key weapons missing or injured throughout the core. The Eagles defense is average against tight ends, allowing the 12th-most receiving yards and four touchdowns to the position. The Eagles owned Witten last season limiting the 10-time Pro Bowler to three catches for 26 yards and a touchdown in their two meetings with Dallas.
Fantasy impact: There are a lot of upsides for Witten in Week 10 despite the rest of the Cowboys offense being in shambles. The offensive line cannot protect Prescott long enough to throw a deep ball, Bryant is playing with injuries, and the rest of the core is non-existent. We should expect Prescott to throw a lot of check-down passes to Witten again this week as a result. The Eagles also give TEs a lot of room to work. Witten is not likely to have a huge game, but he has enough appeal for a start Sunday night.
