Week 11 of the fantasy football season is here, and we’re back with another crop of start/sit options. We have a nice set of data about each team through six weeks, and can make informed decisions on good plays and traps. With that in mind, we’ll pick tight ends who should exceed expectations in Week 11, along with three you should probably sit.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Tight ends
We break down the top starting options at tight end this week, along with some players who should be avoided.

Start
Sterling Shepard had a huge game last week, but the combination of the Chiefs’ secondary and the windy conditions at Met Life Stadium should shift the focus back to Engram, who has been Eli Manning’s most reliable target all season. Engram has a touchdown in four straight games and the Chiefs have had their issues with tight ends.
Vernon Davis, Washington at New Orleans Saints
Jordan Reed has been ruled out and Davis has been terrific in a relief role all season. Davis has realty stepped up the past two weeks, garnering 20 targets and topping 70 yards in each game.
If, as expected, Leonard Fournette is either out or severely limited, it will be up to Blake Bortles and the passing game to deliver a win in Cleveland. But heavy winds could curtail a deep passing game. That sets up beautifully for Lewis as a short-game target. Lewis has 11 targets over the past two games, so he’s been involved. He’s a great option in an emergency this week.
Sit
Once again, the Chargers have forgotten that Henry is on the roster. Henry has four total targets over the past two weeks, as Austin Ekeler has assumed a greater role in the offense. The Bills have been tough on tight ends all season, so Henry is an even shakier play than usual.
Charles Clay, Bills at Chargers
This is just not the spot for tight ends. Clay is still working his way back after missing several weeks with an injury and now he has rookie Nathan Peterman playing quarterback. The Chargers have been one of the best teams against the position all season. That’s way too many red flags.
We loved Ebron last week, and he delivered against the Browns with a touchdown (point: Marcedes Lewis). But the Bears are the anti-Browns when it comes to tight ends, ranking in the top 10 in fewest fantasy points and yards allowed to tight ends.
