Week 12 was rough on Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins. Before kickoff, he was missing two of his top targets in running back Chris Thompson and tight end Jordan Reed. Cousins managed to complete 19 passes on 31 attempts for 242 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The sixth-year QB was also sacked six times for a loss of 41 yards in the win over the New York Giants. He scrambled a lot throughout the game, often holding the ball way too long. Regardless, Cousins threw multiple touchdowns for the second game in a row.
Fantasy football start/sit advice Week 13: What to do with Kirk Cousins Thursday night
Cousins is finding a way to get things done without key weapons. We look at the fantasy impact heading into TNF.

Washington faces another division rival Thursday night. The Dallas Cowboys come to town missing key starters on the offense and defense. The Cowboys’ secondary has played very poorly recently and the defense is struggling as a whole without linebacker Sean Lee’s leadership. Cousins was average in the Week 8 meeting with the Cowboys completing 26 passes for 263 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and a fumble loss.
Fantasy impact: Cousins is facing two very soft defenses in back-to-back games. He did not take advantage of the Giants in the first matchup, though. Cousins was without some weapons Thursday, but poor decisions hurt him the most against the Giants. He needs to play better Thursday night against the Cowboys. The Cowboys’ secondary has been an easy mark for opposing QBs recently and they are hoping to shake things up by benching cornerback Anthony Brown for rookie Chidobe Awuzie. Though he will be shorthanded, Cousins should be able to take advantage of the Cowboys defense while they scramble to figure things out.
