Arizona Cardinal quarterback Drew Stanton played rather well in his first start filling in for Carson Palmer in Week 9. Stanton completed 15 passes for 201 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Cardinals coaching staff did not have any restrictions on the backup QB, letting Stanton fire a 52-yard connection to John Brown on the first play of the game. Stanton did have some misses, completing just 50 percent of his passes in the outing.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 10: What to do with Drew Stanton on Thursday night
Stanton shows some fantasy potential in his first start this season. We break down the fantasy impact for Week 10.

Thursday night Stanton will face the “Legion of Boom” when the Seattle Seahawks come to town. The Seahawks are efficient against the pass, however, they are vulnerable with safety Earl Thomas nursing a hamstring injury. Stanton has one start against Seattle in his career in 2014. He threw for 147 yards and a touchdown in the meeting.
Fantasy impact: Stanton was better than expected against the 49ers, but Seattle’s defense is a different animal. Stanton has a strong running game to help him out though and the Seahawks are not invincible. However, Stanton will not have a better week this week. So, unless you are very desperate, he can remain on the bench.
