In September, Kareem Hunt was the toast of the fantasy community. A series of incredible performances made him the early frontrunner for Offensive Rookie of the Year, and he even got some minor MVP hype as the Kansas City Chiefs stormed out to a 5-0 start.
Fantasy football Week 14: Kareem Hunt, start or sit?
The former Rookie of the Year contender hasn’t reached 100 yards of offense since Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

Then, Hunt simply ... disappeared. He hasn’t hit 100 yards of offense since Week 7, and his last touchdown came way back in Week 3. Over the past four games, Hunt has just 47 carries for 167 yards, becoming a non-factor for long stretches as the Chiefs’ offense went in the tank.
Fantasy impact: Hunt did come alive a little bit last week, getting 12 touches for 63 total yards. The Chiefs face the Oakland Raiders this week, and their defense is giving up the 15th-most fantasy points to running backs. Their Week 7 matchup happens to be the last time Hunt reached 100 total yards, so it’s a decent bounce-back spot for him against a bad defense. Still, he’s hard to trust these days, especially with the fantasy playoffs starting. Hunt is a major risk-reward flex play down the stretch.
Recommendation: Start if you’re desperate
