The Cincinnati Bengals will be without star running back Joe Mixon in Week 14 vs. the Chicago Bears due to a concussion. With him out, backup Giovani Bernard is a very sneaky start as the fantasy football playoffs begin.
Fantasy football, Week 14: Start or sit Bengals RB Giovani Bernard vs. Bears?
With Joe Mixon out, Giovani Bernard is a sneaky play in Week 14.

Bernard hadn’t done much of anything prior to Week 13, as the veteran was working his way back from an ACL tear in 2016. He was also playing second fiddle to Mixon, who quickly became the Bengals’ bellcow back this season.
But when Mixon went down in Week 13 vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bernard came in and had his best game of 2017. He ran for 77 yards on just 13 carries while catching two balls for 19 yards.
Bernard is now set to start vs. Chicago. With rookie Brian Hill being the backup, expect Bernard to get 20-plus touches in this game.
Fantasy Advice: Bernard now faces a depleted Bears defense that has nothing to play for. This makes Bernard a very worthy flex play in your starting lineup for Week 14.
