An injury to his throwing hand did not slow Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford down in Week 14. Stafford completed 36 passes for 381 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The nine-year play caller was forced from the Lions’ Week 13 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens after DB Terrell Suggs stepped on his throwing hand late in the fourth quarter. Stafford has completed over 80 percent of his pass attempts in the last two games. He struggled to score as usual, with one touchdown and two turnovers in Weeks 13 and 14.
Fantasy football Week 15: Start or sit Matthew Stafford Saturday?
The hand injury did not slow Stafford down in Week 14. We look at the fantasy impact for Saturday night.

Stafford has a great matchup versus the Chicago Bears Saturday night. He threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns in the first meeting with Chicago in Week 11. The Bears always field a pretty strong defense; however, they are missing two key pass rushers for this contest. The Bears also do not have enough talent in the secondary to contain all of the Lions’ receiving weapons.
Fantasy impact: This is a matchup Stafford should be able to easily take advantage of. The Bears defense is at half staff, which means Stafford will have plenty of time in the pocket to find one of the many receivers at his disposal. The hand injury should be an afterthought at this point with Stafford in full practice this week. He is a must-start with a lot of upside for the second week of the playoffs.
