New England Patriots fullback Rex Burkhead was able to extend his rushing touchdown streak to three straight games despite rushing the ball just five times for eight yards last Monday. He was more effective in the passing game, catching five passes for 45 yards in the loss to the Miami Dolphins. Burkhead takes a backseat to Dion Lewis in the Patriots run game, but he is the favored back in the red zone. Burkhead has at least one touchdown in four of the last five outings.
Fantasy football Week 15: Start or sit Rex Burkhead
Burkhead extended his scoring streak to three straight games last Monday. We look at the fantasy impact.

There is a good chance Burkhead can extend his scoring streak Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers defense gave up three rushing touchdowns to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14. The unit is struggling without the leadership of Ryan Shazier in the middle. Burkhead has been sparingly used against the Steelers. In six career meetings, he has 36 rushing yards, 28 receiving yards, and one touchdown.
Fantasy impact: Burkhead would be a fantasy bust if he did not score so often. He only has two games with more than 70 total yards this season. Sunday he has an excellent matchup with the Steelers. He should be able to get a lot of yards on the ground and another score this week. He should definitely be in your lineup for the second week of the playoffs.
