Week 15 of the fantasy football season is here, and we’re back with another crop of start/sit options. We have a nice set of data about each team through six weeks, and can make informed decisions on good plays and traps. With that in mind, we’ll pick quarterbacks who should exceed expectations in Week 15, along with three you should probably sit.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 15 Quarterbacks
We break down the top starting options at quarterback this week, along with some players who should be avoided.

Start
Bortles has thrown for 577 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions the past two weeks and has fantasy totals of 22, 28 and 22 the past three weeks. He draws a cake matchup this week against the Texans, who rank 29th in fantasy points allowed to the quarterback position. Making Bortles even more attractive is the likelihood that Leonard Fournette is inactive after not practicing all week. Bortles might end up throwing it 40 times this week, and this is a great defense to do that against.
Foles acquitted himself nicely in relief of Carson Wentz last week against a solid Rams defense. Now Foles has had a full week to prepare for a terrible Giants defense that seemingly turned Dak Prescott’s season around last week. Zach Ertz is expected to play, which gives Foles a terrific target against the league’s worst defense against tight ends. The Eagles need to get Foles playoff ready, so they won’t put the brakes on him. He should account for at least two touchdowns here.
Flacco the past two weeks: 23-36-269-2, 20-35-369-2. Noticing a trend there? Now Flacco gets to face the second-most giving defense against the quarterback position. Flacco is never going to be a sexy option, but with two 20-point performances in a row and drawing a defense that funnels points to the passing game, he is extremely safe.
Sit
Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks
The Legion of Boom may have lost some of the boom-ishness with injuries to Richard Sherman and Cam Chancellor, but they are still a formidable group that abused Goff (two interceptions, no touchdowns) in their first meeting. Quarterbacks in Seattle have been middling at best. For players with another solid QB on the roster, don’t be afraid to give Goff the week off.
Amari Cooper was ruled out again this week, which just lowers Carr’s already low floor. Carr has topped 20 fantasy points just twice since Week 2 and even though the Cowboys have generally been quarterback-friendly this season, Carr has not shown the ability to take advantage.
Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals at Minnesota VIkings
The Vikings are allowing the second-fewest passing touchdowns in the league and will likely take A.J. Green out of the game by putting Xavier Rhodes on the star receiver. Lacking reliable weapons and playing on the road, it doesn’t add up to a productive fantasy day.
