Week 15 of the fantasy football season is here, and we’re back with another crop of start/sit options. We have a nice set of data about each team through six weeks, and can make informed decisions on good plays and traps. With that in mind, we’ll pick running backs who should exceed expectations in Week 15, along with three you should probably sit.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 15 Running backs
We break down the top starting options at running back this week, along with some players who should be avoided.

Start
The Bills’ run defense has been atrocious for weeks now. And though the result was somewhat skewed by the snowstorm last Sunday that made passing near-impossible, the fact remains that the Bills made Frank Gore look like Jerome Bettis, driving the bus up and down the field. Drake has been terrific since Damien Williams went down with an injury, and he should get all the run he can handle, and the Bills aren’t likely to get in his way.
There was a time when the Browns’ run defense was stuffing the opposition, but a series of injuries to their best run-stoppers have made the Browns an easy team to run against, as Jamaal Williams showed last week. Collins has five touchdowns in his past four games and topped 100 yards for the second time this season last week. He’s in a great spot to keep it rolling this week.
Ajayi is starting to take over the dominant role in this three-headed backfield and he will be needed this week – and the rest of the way – as Nick Foles adjusts to the starting role at quarterback. The Giants allowed Rod Smith to run all over them last week, both as a rusher and receiver, and Ajayi could easily duplicate that effort in this spot.
Sit
Murray has been held to single-digit fantasy points in 5 of his past 7 games and has topped 50 yards just once in his past six. Running against the 49ers is always a good plan, but Murray is not the back he was even a year ago. Counting on him to take advantage of the matchup is a fool’s errand.
The fact that Martin was benched for the second half of last week’s game after a bad fumble in the second quarter might signal the end of his Buccaneers’ career. Because of the uncertainty of his role over these final three weeks – and especially considering the Bucs play on Monday night – Martin is totally not trustable in fantasy
Orleans Darkwa, Giants vs. Eagles
The Eagles are allowing the fewest fantasy points to running backs in the league. That would be bad for a lead back with a secure role. It’s a total disaster for a back sharing duties with at least one other player, and maybe two. If you can’t do better than a Giants back, how are you in the playoffs?
