The New York Giants talented tight end Evan Engram made his way off of the injury report on Friday after completing a full practice. The rookie began the week in the NFL’s concussion protocol following a strong performance in Monday night’s loss to the Detroit Lions.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 3: What to do with Evan Engram
The Giants rookie tight end began the week on the injury report but this is why he should be in your lineup this weekend.

The Giants have been heavily incorporating Engram in the offense due to injuries to Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall’s struggle to find a role. He has the most receiving yards on the team to date and has scored New York’s lone touchdown of the season. As Odell gets more healthy I expect Eli to look even more in Engram’s direction because of the attention that will be paid to Beckham Jr.
Fantasy impact: Engram has already established that he can make big plays with his tremendous size and speed. New York will be facing the Eagles this weekend who have a great defensive line but suspect secondary. Eli won’t have long to hang onto the ball and I believe when Odell is double covered he is going to look for his big rookie tight end as a security blanket. Engram’s role will only expand as he gains more experience in the offense and Odell Beckham gets healthier.
Recommendation: Start
