Fantasy football waiver wire pickups: TE rankings for NFL Week 4

The waiver wire begins late Tuesday, so it is time to figure out your best options. We’ve got rankings for all four major positions: QB | RB | WR | TE

With Week 3 of the year set to come to a close later tonight when the Cowboys and Cardinals square off, it’s time to begin looking ahead to Week for and trying to get ahead of your leaguemates on the waiver wire.

We’ll be ranking the top five players in each of the four major positions that are likely available in your league — or, hopefully available, at least. Keep in mind, these numbers are mobile and can change throughout the week. We’ll update them as they change, or other news surfaces. The following ownership percentages come via Yahoo! Fantasy Sports after Week 3.

Benjamin Watson (32 percent owned)

Watson hauled in just three catches for 12 yards — a long fall from this 91-yard (on eight catches) in Week 2 — in Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars in London, but he did reach the end zone. Sure, touchdowns are unpredictable, but fantasy points are fantasy points.

Charles Clay (20)

Clay has the second-most receptions on the Bills this year, trailing just LeSean McCoy. After an average Week 2, Clay returned with his second touchdown of the season in a 39-yard, six-target, six-catch performance against the Broncos on Sunday.

Zach Miller (13)

Someone has to emerge in Chicago’s passing offense, yeah? What you see is what you get with Miller. Not flashy, not completely terrible. He had three catches for 17 yards in an overtime win against the Steelers.

David Njoku (7)

Njoku had a touchdown to save him from a four-catch, 12-yard performance against the Colts, but it’s now the second straight week where he reached the end zone. He plays Cincinnati in Week 4, who allowed a touchdown to Packers TE Lance Kendricks. So, there’s that.

Marcedes Lewis (1)

Was he just a one week wonder? Probably. But 62 yards and three touchdowns is hard to ignore.
