The Cleveland Browns did not use their top pick from the 2017 draft much this season. Tight end David Njoku got off to a slow start. The rookie struggled to hold onto the ball and battled a back injury in camp. The struggles continued throughout the season. Njoku finished this year with 32 catches for 386 yards and four touchdowns. He only had two games with more than 50 receiving yards. Despite the issues, Njoku led the team in touchdown receptions. He was also third in targets, receptions, and yards for the Browns this season.
David Njoku hopes to see more action in 2018
The Browns were hesitant to use their top draft pick in 2017. Will he be a bigger part of the offense next season?

Looking ahead to 2018
The Browns’ top priority will be getting a win in 2018. Njoku should be able to play a big role in securing a victory next season. He showcased his skills several times throughout last season. However, the Browns coaching staff was very reluctant to play their 2017 top draft pick. Therefore, Njoku is a wild card in 2018.
Fantasy Slant
Njoku lived on waivers last season and he could do the same next year. He lacked consistency last year, but the 29th overall pick has a ton of talent waiting to be unleashed. If Njoku does not get drafted in 2018, he should definitely remain high on owners’ watch lists.
