The Arizona Cardinals had big shoes to fill when quarterback Carson Palmer announced his retirement in January. Tuesday, the Cardinals signed former Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford to a one-year, $20 million deal to fill that void under center.
Cardinals hope Sam Bradford can overcome injuries and be elite fantasy QB
The Cardinals signed Bradford to a one-year, $20 million deal Tuesday. We break down the fantasy impact.

Arizona will be Bradford’s fourth team in his seven years in the league. The Cardinals also signed former Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon to serve as their backup in 2018.
Bradford brings a lot to the table for Arizona, but he is also prone to injuries. The former No. 1 pick in 2010 had a great season opener in Minnesota in 2017 before spending most of year on injured reserve with a knee problem. Despite missing significant time throughout his career dealing with injuries, Bradford still has four 3,000-plus-yard seasons and over 100 touchdowns.
Fantasy impact: Bradford tends to be a strong fantasy quarterback when he plays. He threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns in Week 1 of 2017 before getting hurt. The problem with Bradford is he also gets hurt a lot and cannot be trusted to play a full season. Additionally, the Cardinals also do not offer a lot of weapons on offense beyond Larry Fitzgerald and David Johnson. In what looks to be a rebuilding year for Arizona and with health concerns constantly at play, Bradford does not have a lot of fantasy promise this season.
