Less than one week after releasing running back DeMarco Murray, the Tennessee Titans made a deal with New England Patriots feature back Dion Lewis. Lewis signed a four-year deal worth $19.8 million on Tuesday. He joins a backfield that will include third-year rusher, Derrick Henry in 2018.
Titans get more fantasy firepower with Dion Lewis
Tennessee reached a four-year, $19.8 million deal with the former New England Patriots running back on Tuesday. We break down the fantasy impact.

Lewis should take over the starting role for the Titans next season but he will split many of the carries with Henry.
Lewis carried the Patriots on his back last season, especially down the stretch. He led the team in rushing with 896 yards on 180 carries and six touchdowns. The two-time Super Bowl champion averaged five yards per carry and rushed for more than 100 yards twice last season. Lewis also played a big part in the passing game. He caught 32 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns last season. Lastly, he served the Patriots’ primary kick returner with 23 returns for 570 yards and one touchdown.
Fantasy impact: The Titans got an upgrade with the addition of Lewis to their backfield. He is a younger, more talented version of Murray who has championship experience. Lewis is going to command a lot of touches next season, though he will share time with Henry. Lewis should continue to build next season. He is likely to be an RB2 with upside if the Titans slate him in for Murray. Owners interested in Lewis should look to draft him around the fifth or sixth round.
