The Miami Dolphins will have plenty of talent in the receiving corps next season. Last week, they signed former New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola to a two-year, $12 million deal. Amendola joins fellow slot receiver and free-agent signee Albert Wilson as the newest additions to the Dolphins’ passing game. The Dolphins also have Devante Parker, Kenny Stills, and Jakeem Grant vying for targets next season.
Danny Amendola gives Dolphins fantasy options at receiver
The former New England Patriots slot receiver struck a two-year deal worth $12 million with the Miami Dolphins. We look at the fantasy implications.

Amendola brings a wealth of championship experience to the Dolphins’ locker room. He has had his fair share of struggles, namely injuries, throughout his career. The 32-year-old is coming off one of his better and healthier years in his career. Amendola caught 61 passes for 659 yards and two touchdowns in 2017. It was the most receiving yards he ever had with the Patriots in the regular season.
Fantasy impact: One of the many receivers on the Dolphins’ roster is bound to get lost in the shuffle. Amendola’s role should be significant in the slot. However, it may not translate into fantasy production. It will be interesting to see how Amendola fits into the Dolphins’ passing game. From a fantasy perspective, he will be a wildcard in 2018. Owners should not invest too much into Amendola until they see how the Dolphins’ offense roles out.
