The Jacksonville Jaguars are exploding with talent in the receiving corps all of a sudden. A day after the start of free agency, they added another passing threat to the roster by signing former New York Jets tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins to a two-year deal worth $10 million. Seferian-Jenkins joins Donte Moncrief and Niles Paul as the newest additions to the Jaguars’ passing game.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins brings more fantasy firepower to Jaguars’ passing game
The former New York Jets TE signed a two-year, $10 million deal with the Jaguars Thursday. We look at the fantasy implications.

Seferian-Jenkins made a big turn around in his personal life and became the top end for the Jets in 2017. His numbers do not reflect how well he performed last year. He finished the season with 50 receptions for 357 yards and three touchdowns. Unfortunately, he had several touchdowns called back by penalty and replay overturns.
Fantasy impact: Seferian-Jenkins could still shine in the loaded Jaguars’ receiving corps. He was a go-to receiver that could move the chains for Jets quarterback Josh McCown and could land into a similar role for Jaguars QB Blake Bortles. Seferian-Jenkins is also a big, reliable target in the red zone. There will be a lot of people competing for targets in Jacksonville next season, which could hurt ASJ’s fantasy stock a little. He still has the talent to be a TE1 in 2018.
