The Minnesota Vikings will once again have Carson Wentz as their starting quarterback this week when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles at home. They come into this matchup as 2.5-home underdogs, as the Super Bowl Champion Eagles try to avoid a three game losing streak. The Vikings are 3-2 after going win, loss, win, loss, win for a little rollercoaster to start the season.
TJ Hockenson start or sit: Week 7 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of TJ Hockenson ahead of Week 7

So far, even with Jordan Addison missing time, TE TJ Hockenson has yet to show his usual offensive consistency. The flux at quarterback has been troubling for the offense as a whole, as JJ McCarthy and Wentz have left plays out on the field. Coming off a bye there is hope Hockenson can get going after he had his best non-touchdown game before the bye when he caught all six of his targets, but for just 38 yards.
Below, we’ll go over TJ Hockenson’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 7.
Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings, TE, TJ Hockenson
Hockenson has yet to top 50 yards this season and has just one touchdown against a bad Bengals defense. This week he’ll face an Eagles defense that’s been third-best at stopping tight ends from accumulating fantasy points. They also rank first in defensive DVOA against the position.
I do expect the Vikings to need to throw the ball this week to keep up with the Eagles, but there’s no doubt this is a tough matchup and Hockenson hasn’t showed much upside so far.
