Steve Williams Continues To Rip Tiger Woods In Media Following Split

Steve Williams, Tiger Woods’ longtime caddy, is upset with Woods for dismissing him, and he’s letting the media know it. The New Zealand Herald’s new interview with Williams shows that he’s angry that Woods would let him go after a two-year period in which Woods dealt with an embarrassing scandal, fought through injury, and played sparingly.

“Realistically I could look back, and I’ve wasted the last two years of my life because he’s played infrequently, he’s been injured and played poorly. I was prepared to hang in there through thick and thin so I find the timing extraordinary.”

Williams claims he hasn’t been in touch with Woods since the dismissal. He also says that he “lost a tremendous amount of respect” for Woods following Woods’ sex scandal (which he claims to have “had no idea” about until after the news broke).

Williams is now working with Australian Adam Scott, who tied for 25th place in the recent 2011 British Open and tied for second in the 2011 Masters Tournament.
