Humana Challege 2012: TV Schedule, Tee Times, Parings For Thursday

The 2012 Humana Challenge, formerly known as the Bob Hope Classic, will tee off on Thursday morning. The first three rounds will pair amateurs with professionals, with Sunday being left solely to the pros.

The 2012 Humana Challenge, formerly known as a the Bob Hope Classic, will tee-off at 8:40 p.m. PT (11:40 ET) on Thursday, pairing professionals with amateurs for the first three rounds of play. With the change in sponsorship came a change in the length of the tournament. This year’s Challenge will cover a more traditional 72 holes as opposed to 90 in years past. Phil Mickelson, Johnattan Vegas, Bill Haas, Pat Perez, D.J. Trahan, Charley Hoffman, Justin Leonard and Mike Weir are all former champions playing in this year’s tournament.

This year’s tournament will rotate sites, just like it has in the past, starting with the La Quinta Country Club on Thursday. The Palmer Private at PGA West will host on Friday, and the Nicklaus Private will host on Saturday. All three courses have ranked among the easiest on the PGA Tour in the past.

The Golf Channel will have television coverage on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, and again from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. You can also catch live coverage from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on SIRIUS-XM.

11:50 a.m. ET - Phil Mickelson and John Mettler

12:20 p.m. ET - Bill Haas and Ken Melkus

12:50 p.m. ET - Charles Howell III and Fred Schaeffer

1:20 p.m. ET - Bo Van Pelt and Jared Moss
