WGC-Accenture Match Play 2013 tee times: Thursday start delayed until 2:00 p.m. ET

First-round play at the WGC-Accenture Match Play will resume at 12:00 p.m. local time (2:00 p.m. ET) after being delayed due to weather.

Weather continues to delay the WGC-Accenture Match Play event in Marana, Ariz., but Thursday’s play will begin at 9:30 a.m. local time (11:30 a.m. ET) after a one-hour delay. Opening round play was suspended around 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday due to heavy snowfall at the Dove Mountain course.

UPDATE: Latest delay, an additional 30 minutes, pushing the start time to 2:00 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: Yet another delay, pushing the start time to 1:30 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: The start time has been delayed another hour, pushing the start time to 12:30 p.m. ET.

The initial snow melted away, but a second storm followed Wednesday night and with temperatures barely above freezing this morning, an extra hour was needed to allow for the new snow to melt.

No matches were finished on Wednesday and players will resume their positions at the 11:30 a.m. ET start time. With Webb Simpson and David Lynn still on the first fairway, the first tee times of the day will not begin until 11:40 a.m. Many of the big names, including all the No. 1 seeds, have yet to begin their matches as nine pairings wait to begin their opening match. The first match of the tournament, Sergio Garcia vs. Thongchai Jaidee, will resume play on the 16th hole with Garcia two up through 15 holes.

Golf Channel will begin its coverage at 12:30 p.m. ET.
