2013 PGA Championship cut: Bubba Watson, Luke Donald among those missing the cut

The Oak Hill course record was tied, then later broken on Friday, but not all of the field was fortunate enough to post rounds in the low and mid 60s. Bubba Watson, Luke Donald and Charl Schwartzel were among the players who finished on the wrong side of the cut line.

The cut eventually settled at 3-over with 75 players making the weekend. Brandt Snedeker and Dustin Johnson are among the group at 3-over, just on the inside of the line. Johnson birdied the 17th hole to move to 3-over and sneak inside of the line.

Watson got off to a rough start and it wound up costing him a chance to make the weekend. He bogeyed two of his first three holes, making the turn at 38. He parred eight of his final nine holes with a bogey at No. 3 dropping him to 4-over and on the wrong side of the cut. Schwartzel was 2-over with two holes to play before running into trouble on the difficult closing stretch. He bogeyed No. 17 and No. 18, taking him from safe to going home in two holes.

Nicolas Colsaerts also ran into trouble late with a bogey on his second to last hole dropping him to 4-over. Davis Love III endured a similar fate with a bogey on No. 17 moving him to 4-over and on the wrong side of the cut line. Ernie Els (6-over), Billy Horschel (7-over), Padraig Harrington (7-over) and Jordan Spieth (8-over) were among the other notable names who won’t be around for the final rounds.
