Steve Smith jumped straight in the air like a dang superhero to make this catch

Steve Smith shouldn’t be able to jump this high. He just shouldn’t. Receivers are supposed to slow down with age -- gracefully transition to possession receiver, but you can be the one to tell him that.

Smith doesn’t just outleap the Chargers on this play, he SKIES over them. It’s like he’s in an NBA dunk contest and they’re jumping rope. Watch how he tracks the ball the whole time. His eyes are locked on it constantly, while the defensive backs can’t locate it. This is a textbook for any kid looking to play WR.

It’s waaaay too early for Steve Smith to retire.
