Chiefs fan celebrates first playoff win in 22 years with ‘January 16, 1994’ sign

This Chiefs fan was ready for their playoff streak to be broken. He was so sure that Kansas City would get the win that he prepared a sign. It read, ‘January 16th, 1994.’ But we’re sure he didn’t expect a win like today’s.

On Jan. 16, 1994, Kansas City defeated the Houston Oilers 28-20. What’s old is new again.

Joe Montana—also a former 49er like Alex Smith—led the team to victory. Congratulations, Chiefs.
