Rays Vs. Rangers, ALDS Game 5: David Price Finished After Six

Cliff Lee needed just 11 pitches to throw a perfect sixth inning that saw him strike out Carlos Pena for the sixth time in six at bats in the series. His pitch count now stands at 87, with 65 strikes.

That brought us to the top of the seventh, and Joe Maddon has gone to the bullpen to get Grant Balfour in relief of starter David Price. Price was reasonably effective on the mound but done in by some aggressive baserunning on the Rangers' part, and he certainly wasn't able to get as deep as he wanted. Price's line:

6 innings
8 hits
3 runs
0 walks
6 strikeouts
104 pitches (68 strikes)
