Dodgers starter Josh Beckett has cruised through eight innings without surrendering a hit to the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday afternoon.

The 34-year-old right hander has thrown well over 100 pitches in the game, so if he does allow a hit, his day will likely be over. Los Angeles' bats put up six runs against Beckett's opposite, A.J. Burnett. The Dodgers lead, 6-0.
With just three outs to go, Beckett will almost certainly get a chance to finish out the game, but considering the Dodgers are comfortably in the lead, he will presumably hand the ball off to the bullpen if Philadelphia manages to get a hit.
It's been nearly 20 years since the Dodgers had a pitcher throw a no-no. In Sept. 1996, Hideo Nomo held the Rockies without a hit at Coors Field in the first-ever no-hitter there. If he finishes the no-hitter, it will be the first no-hitter thrown against the Phillies since the Cardinals' Bob Forsch did it in 1978.
Henderson Alvarez of the Marlins threw the last no-hitter in the majors on the final day of the 2013 season.
