There is nobody who represents the Cubs more than Harry Caray. The legendary broadcaster called Cubs games for 16 years. This commercial ran right after Chicago finished up their first World Series championship in 108 years.

Caray was one of us, never exhibiting the pretense or polish of other slick TV men. He’s famous for, among other things, sharing a Bud with legendary fan Bill Murray one time in the booth. He may have broadcasted other teams in his career, but he connected with Cubs fans: he was their voice more than any other team’s.
And nobody, and we mean nobody, sung “Take Me Out To the Ballgame” better.
Caray passed away in 1998, but we know he’s probably cracking a cold one as he looks down on a crowning achievement in baseball history.
To close out the 1991 season, Caray famously said, “Sure as God made green apples, someday the Chicago Cubs will be in the World Series.”
Not only did they get to the World Series, but they finally won it. How about them apples?
