ROUND 1 - Both fighters standing orthodox. Grispi runs Roop down, drops for a takedown and gets it. Roop using farside wrist control to move to mount and now opposite side control. Grispi attemping a kimura, but abandons it and now drops down for a knee tap against the cage. Grispi attempts to the take back as Roop stands and ends up in mount as Roop takes evasive maneuvers. Roop continues to roll and now is standing again. And now the separate. Grispi coming in wild, but manages to secure the clinch. Roop and Grispi jockey for position along the cage. Grispi pulls guard and eats an elbow for his effort. Respectable effort on top from Roop to fire off ground and pound. Knee to the body from Roop to end the round.

ROUND 2 - Front kick from Roop puts Grispi on the mat. Roop follows up and is working from Grispi’s guard. Roop is banging on him with hard left elbows now. Now rights from Roop on top. Roop is continually firing away and Grispi seems flat on his back. Grispi rotates base down, but Roop secures a tight waist and continues to fire punches. Roop pulls his inside arm free and charges back down. Roop working hard on top, nothing too huge, but continually firing strikes. Hard elbow from Roop with less than a minute left. Grispi again goes base down, but Roop fires knees to the body. Grispi tries to granby and does.

ROUND 3 - Right hand from Roop finds the mark. Roop putting hands and foot combinations together, but didn’t land anything clean. Grispi grabs a leg and drags Roop to the floor. Roop uses an omaplata to stand. Grispi charges back in for a takedown against the fence. Roop now sitting on his rear and Grispi trying to advance. The fighters stand. Outside leg kick from Roop. Right straight to the body and Roop charges in. Hard right hand to the body from Roop drops Grispi and that’s a wrap. Grispi crumbles.
