Clippers Vs. Heat: Blake Griffin Keeps L.A. In Striking Distance In Sloppy First Quarter
Dwyane Wade scored seven points, but Miami shot just 8-19 as a team, and 1-6 on three-pointers. The Heat had two 24-second violations in the first quarter. L.A. was hardly cleaner with the ball, with a whopping seven first-quarter turnovers. There's truth to J.A. Adande's assertion that the NBA should never schedule noon Sunday games in Miami.
Griffin had a signature dunk late in the first on a putback. He also had three rebounds and two assists. LeBron James scored just four points in the first, and was held scoreless there were 2-1/2 minutes remaining in the quarter.
