Clippers Vs. Heat: Dwyane Wade Leads Miami To 11-Point Halftime Lead

Dwyane Wade scored 16 points in the first half as the Miami Heat pulled away from the L.A. Clippers 47-36 after two quarters. Wade had seven points in the first quarter and nine in the second.

The game was 20-19 after one quarter, but the Heat quickly flexed their considerable muscles in the second to pull ahead by first a few possessions and later double-digits. The Heat led by as many as 16. Wade hit two threes early in the second quarter to help Miami get its offense going while the Clippers struggled to find points from anyone other than Ryan Gomes and Blake Griffin. Gomes has 10 and he Clips' All-Star forward Griffin scored six points in the first quarter and five in the second.

Chris Bosh had a spectacular dunk on a putback midway through the second to get the crowd into the game, and Mike Miller and James Jones added a three-pointer each to help stretch the lead.
