It’s been a sleepy Sunday matinee in Miami, but the Heat came alive late in the second quarter against the Bulls to produce a double-digit lead. And by “the Heat,” I mean “the Big Three.”
Heat Lead Bulls At Halftime, 49-40, Thanks To Big Three’s Combined Excellence
LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh have combined for 41 points, leading the Heat to a 49-40 halftime lead over the Bulls. James leads all scorers with 17 points, and Bosh has 15, with Wade chipping in eight more despite making just four of 10 shots in the first half.
They also survived a brief moment of fear: James landed awkwardly on his left wrist after being fouled on one fast break attempt, but stayed in the game and made both free throws.
The Bulls, and especially Derrick Rose, have been quieter. But Rose got a beautiful floater to fall with 3.9 seconds left and converted the and-one free throw to cut the halftime lead to single digits. He has 10 points, and is the only Bull in double digits for the game.
