Through three quarters in Miami, it’s now the sort of close contest most expected from a Heat-Bulls game. Miami leads, 65-63, heading into the fourth quarter.
Derrick Rose Helps Bulls Close Gap On Heat In Third Quarter
Derrick Rose’s play helped the Bulls pull the game back to one-possession territory. He had nine of the Bulls’ 23 points in the third quarter, and pulled off one of the better lay-ups you’ll see all year.
Meanwhile, after two quarters of domination on offense from the Big Three, Dwyane Wade’s struggles helped the Bulls derail the Heat in the third quarter. Wade has just 12 points and six turnovers, and lags well behind his running mates LeBron James (22 points) and Chris Bosh (21 points).
And so the Heat find themselves in a familiar situation late: locked up in a close game with one of the NBA’s elite teams. Can the Big Three answer the questions about clutch that have dogged them all year, or will Rose and the Bulls get their third win against the Heat this season?
