It's been a good first quarter for the Boston Celtics in a virtual must-win game, and Paul Pierce has lead them to a first quarter lead with his 12 points. After losing the first two games of the series on the road against the Miami Heat, the Celtics have responded well and they lead by a score of 27-21 after the first 12 minutes of play.
Heat Vs. Celtics Score, Game 3: Paul Pierce Dominant As Boston Leads After First Quarter
Shaquille O’Neal has made his return to the floor for Boston and he scored an impressive reverse layup shortly after getting onto the court, but he looks like a guy who hasn’t played in the NBA since February, and he looked like he was limping after putting in that basket.
The big three of the Heat have been quiet, as they have combined for just 12 points in the first quarter. Joel Anthony has put in a good shift off the bench, scoring four points and grabbing three rebounds, two of those offensive, in five minutes on the floor.
