Heat Vs. Celtics Score, Game 3: Boston Leads After Big Third Quarter, Rajon Rondo Injured But Will Return

First of all, let's get this out of the way: Rajon Rondo dislocated his elbow, the Boston Celtics training staff popped it back in, and now he's going to come back in and play. Insane, right? Other than that little unfortunate incident, the Celtics are actually playing very well, and they lead the Miami Heat by a score of 72-61 after the third quarter. It's been all Celtics for the last 12 minutes, as they scored 28 points in the quarter, outscoring Miami by 13 in the period.

Kevin Garnett is dominant at the moment, and he's absolutely erased Chris Bosh from this game at both ends of the floor. Garnett has 26 points and 13 rebounds, while Bosh has five points and three rebounds. LeBron James hasn't exactly been himself either, and he only has eight points on the night.

The incident where Rondo dislocated his elbow occurred about halfway through the quarter, when he got into a scuffle with Dwyane Wade. The incident resulted in Wade pushing Rondo to the floor, and the Celtics point guard fell awkwardly on his left arm, causing his elbow to bend a way it is not supposed to bend. He was taken to the locker room where the aforementioned poppage took place, and now he's back out on the floor. He will likely be using his right hand almost exclusively. This is a really smart thing to do with an 11 point lead.
