VIDEO: Rajon Rondo Dislocates Elbow In Tie-Up With Dwyane Wade

Rajon Rondo suffered a gruesome injury midway through the third quarter of Saturday night's NBA playoff matchup between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. Rondo and Dwyane Wade got tangled up in the paint and it appeared Wade pulled Rondo to the ground. With the two got in a tangle, Rondo had little to brace himself with, though he did stick his left arm out to try and catch himself. And that's where the trouble, and his gruesome injury, came into play.

With his left arm extended, Rondo’s full weight came down on it, forcing an elbow dislocation. He stayed down in clear pain -- as you can imagine, an elbow dislocation is as painful as it sounds -- while trainers attended to him. A trip to the locker room was in order, and it appeared Rondo’s night was over at least.

After the jump, video of Rondo’s injury. The video is graphic due to the nature of the injury, so be forewarned.

And, yes, he did return from the injury to reenter the game in the fourth quarter. Guess we can’t question Rondo’s toughness, though we can question his wisdom.
