A rematch between D.C.‘s Goodman League and Los Angeles’ Drew League remains in the works, but the planning of the event is going slowly. After Washington D.C. hosted “Capital Punishment,” the Drew League is hoping to plan an event out in Los Angeles that would take place in a bigger arena and with more sponsors. The event was originally planned for September 10, but the Drew League announced it would need to push that date back.
Goodman League Vs. Drew League Exhibition Rematch Being Planned For Late September
FYI.. Sept 10th is OUT, trying to host a game in LA that day will be too soon, we R still working on some things hopefully the end of Sept
September 10 would have been very ambitious with all the logistics that needed to be worked out. Even late September seems like a short amount of time to get sponsors and find a venue bigger than Trinity University. The Drew League is hoping that Kobe Bryant, who did not make the trip to D.C., will suit up for the game in Los Angeles.
