The Toronto Raptors ended their six-game losing skid on Friday night, holding on late to defeat the Phoenix Suns by a score of 101-97. It wasn't a pretty performance for 48 minutes, but strong efforts from DeMar DeRozan and Toronto's bench were enough to pull out the win.

The Raptors desperately needed to get back on track against the Suns, who had just two road wins entering Friday. They did it, winning 101-97.
As for the Suns, their transition into the post Steve Nash era continued to be a bumpy one as they fell to 7-10 on the year.
DeRozan led all scorers with 23 points, and he did so shooting 8-for-18 from the field. He grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists. The Raptors bench was the reason the team ended up winning; five players combined for 46 points, and it seemed like they helped lead a run whenever the Suns would make a push in the second half.
Five players scored upwards of 12 points for Phoenix. They were led by disgruntled big man Marcin Gortat, who had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists. Jared Dudley came up big off the bench, scoring 14 points in just 25 minutes of action.
Toronto will play their next game on Monday night against the Nuggets. The Suns will continue their long road trip in New York on Sunday as they take on Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
