The Cleveland Cavaliers were down nine points to the Atlanta Hawks to open the fourth quarter on Friday night, but an Alonzo Gee tip-in with less than a second remaining gave the Cavs a 113-111 win. With the victory, Cleveland moved to 4-12 on the season and 2-4 without injured point guard Kyrie Irving, while the Hawks dropped to 9-5.

The Cavs upset the Hawks in Atlanta thanks to a late basket from Alonzo Gee.
Cleveland was powered on the night by Anderson Varejao, who continued his push for an All-Star berth with 20 points and 18 rebounds. Jeremy Pargo led the team in scoring with 22 points, while rookie Dion Waiters chipped in with 21 points, though his efficiency continued to wane in Irving's absence. As a team, the Cavs shot 48 percent from the field, 43 percent from three and made 21-22 free throws.
All five Hawks starters were in double figures in scoring, with Lou Williams chipping in with 18 points off the bench. The Hawks just could not hold the Cavs off in the fourth quarter, though, as they could not cover up on the defensive end an offense that scored just 20 points in that final quarter.
The Cavs will fly home on Friday night and host the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, while the Hawks are off until Wednesday night, when they'll host the Denver Nuggets.
