Mike D’Antoni has resigned as head coach of the New York Knicks, according to a report by Andrew Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
D’Antoni and Knicks owner James Dolan agreed on Wednesday to end his three-plus-years run as Knicks coach, a source said. “It was a mutual decision to no longer coach the Knicks ... conflicting visions of the club’s future,” the source said.
Multiple sources have confirmed the resignation, according to Wojnarowski. At least two members of D’Antoni’s coaching staff are also out the door:

The news comes on the heels of the Knicks' sixth consecutive loss, falling 104-99 to the Chicago Bulls on Monday night. The emergence of Jeremy Lin and a seven-game winning streak briefly quieted calls from the Knicks fanbase for D'Antoni to step down. Those calls resurfaced as the team returned to its poor early season form.
D’Antoni leaves after going 121-167 in four seasons with the team. Mike Woodson will reportedly take over as the Knicks’ interim head coach.
