Michigan State Vs. Duke Score: 25-25 In First Half, Kyrie Irving Blowing Up

Tonight’s marquee matchup has been evenly contested so far, with the Michigan St. Spartans and Duke Blue Devils battling to a tie with about seven minutes to go. Duke’s Kyrie Irving leads all scorers with 13, missing only one of his six attempts. Seven Spartans have contributed points so far, led by Garrick Sherman’s six.

The challenge of playing in Cameron Indoor seems to be getting to Sparty. The Spartans are three of four from the three-point line and winning on the boards, but have turned the ball over nine times. Still, the refs aren’t contributing to Duke’s home court advantage: Duke’s Miles Plumlee has been in foul trouble, sitting with three so far.

With the Purdue Boilermakers beating the Virginia Tech Hokies the 2010 ACC/Big Ten Challenge is locked up for the northern aggressors, but there’s still plenty to play for in tonight’s main event.
