Duke freshman Kyrie Irving continues to torment the Michigan State defense in the second half. Irving’s game-high 23 points have propelled the Blue Devils to a 65-59 lead midway through the half. Michigan State’s Korie Lucious is keeping pace with Irving, putting up 20 of his own points to lead the Spartans.

It’s a three-pronged attack for Duke, with Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler joining Irving in double figures. Smith added 15 points while Singler pitched-in 10 for the Blue Devils thus far.
Outside of Lucious, Kalin Lucas has finally come alive, scoring 10 second half points after having a quiet first 20 minutes. Outside of Lucious and Lucas, Michigan State has struggled to find a third scoring threat, with no other players in double figures.
After turning the ball over 12 times in the first half, the Spartans continue to struggle with possession, turning it over eight more times in the first 15 minutes of the second. The Spartans are still in it, but Duke has kept them at bay, feeding off the electric environment at Cameron Indoor.
