Mike Leach could be a candidate for the Minnesota coaching job, or at least it’s fun to talk about, as this TwinCities.com article makes clear. Leach has stated he’ll talk to anyone about getting back into college coaching.
Minnesota Replacements Could Include Mike Leach (In Theory)
Leach isn’t the only one to insert himself into the conversation about the eventual replacement for Tim Brewster, the Gophers’ former coach who was fired Sunday morning after three and a half years at the school. Mike Grant, son of longtime Minnesota Vikings coach, is also openly interested in the job, though Minnesota AD Joel Maturi said this was highly unlikely.
It’s all idle speculation at the moment, but any speculation involving Mike Leach is speculation worth forwarding, since college football does miss something without the presence of the Dread Pirate Leach and his high-powered offenses.
