College Football Rankings: ESPN To Reveal BCS Standings Sunday Nights With ‘BCS Countdown’

ESPN is beginning to leverage its television rights to the BCS.

The network will release the BCS standings on a new weekly 75-minute “BCS Countdown” show starting October 17.

The show will run from 8:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. on ESPN, then switch to ESPNU for its final half-hour.

The show will include the standings for the top 25 teams in the BCS rankings, discussion of the teams, and a “Heismanology” segment. You’ll probably only need to watch the first five minutes.
