With South Carolina knocking off No.1 Alabama on Saturday afternoon, the college football polls are sure to get a shakeup across the board when they’re released on Sunday.
College Football Rankings: Alabama’s Loss To South Carolina Sure To Shake Up Polls
Alabama had owned the No. 1 spot in the college football rankings since the end of last season, when it beat Texas in the BCS title game.
Both the AP poll and the Coaches Poll had the same top five this week:
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Oregon
4. Boise State
5. TCU
The Buckeyes routed Indiana earlier this afternoon, and Oregon is nearing the end of its own rout of one-win Washington State. Boise State kicks off later this evening, and TCU blew out Wyoming 45-0.
Boise State and Ohio State were the only other teams to replace first-place votes last week, but Oregon surged ahead of Boise -- moving from fourth to third in the AP poll -- so what happens tomorrow in the top five is tough to predict.
