LSU Vs. Mississippi: Rebels Score, And The Ball Is Back In Tigers’ Court

Holding serve is a lot easier to do when playing ping-pong. And it seems like Ole Miss and LSU are intent on doing exactly that.

Jeremiah Masoli found a wide open Markeith Summers downfield, and Summers outran the lone LSU safety, then dove into the end zone for six points and a 36-35 lead.

Of course, the Rebels failed to get a two-pointer, running the streak of consecutive six-point possession in this game to four.

As for LSU’s response? Well, Summers’ dive was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, and Patrick Peterson made the most of the resulting short kickoff, giving LSU a much better starting position by returning the ball almost to midfield. So Mississippi should only be leading for a few more plays, probably.
