It hasn’t quite been bedlam yet, but the Bedlam Game does have some points.
Oklahoma State Vs. Oklahoma: Sooners Strike First In Stillwater
Oklahoma traveled 82 yards in 11 plays, and scored the game’s first touchdown on an eight-yard run by Trey Millard. After the extra point, the Sooners lead 7-0 in Stillwater.
It’s been a good start for the visiting Sooners, despite Landry Jones being fairly erratic (five of 10 through the air) so far. DeMarco Murray broke free for a 18-yard run on that last drive, and Ryan Broyles and Kenny Stills both have catches of 20 or more yards. And the defense has been solid.
Then again, that may be partly because of the work by the other team. Oklahoma State can’t quite string together a series. Despite Brandon Weeden hitting on all but two of his passes so far, the Cowboys’ running game has stalled, with Kendall Hunter yet to gain a yard on three carries, and the Cowboys haven’t even targeted fringe Heisman candidate Justin Blackmon yet.
