Stanford Vs. Arizona: Wildcats Answer With Spread And In A Hurry

Or maybe the rout’s not quite on.

On a blink-and-you-missed-it drive, Arizona’s offense nickel-and-dimed its way down the field and got a touchdown to cut Stanford’s lead to 28-10. The only moment to breathe during the drive came when Juron Criner went down with an injury — but he didn’t go down for long, coming back onto the field to make the drive-capping seven-yard touchdown catch.

In total, the drive took just 1:31 of game clock, and was exactly the sort of rush to score points that Arizona will need to have to maintain any chance of a miracle comeback in this one.

They’ll also have to get Stanford’s offense off the field. It’s not entirely clear that the Arizona defense is capable of that tonight.
