Florida’s found itself a new offensive coordinator, bringing in Brent Pease of Boise State.
Brent Pease Officially Named Next Florida Offensive Coordinator
Before taking over Boise State’s offense, Pease spent four years as the Broncos assistant head coach and wide receivers coach. He’s also coached at Baylor and Northern Arizona, and played quarterback in the NFL, Arena League and WLAF. Shout out to everybody who remembers the WLAF.

Getty ImagesPease has coached with the Broncos since 2006, previously working at Baylor, Kentucky, Northern Arizona and in various pro leagues. He hails from Idaho, but played quarterback for the Houston Oilers before getting into coaching.
Boise State ranked No. 10 in total offense in 2011, though it’s hard to evaluate exactly what that means, since they pretty much always rank right around there. Kellen Moore’s senior season may have helped as well.

Florida’s search for its next offensive coordinator may not conclude until after the Gators take on Ohio State in the Gator Bowl in January — Will Muschamp’s professed interest in having a coach with NFL experience may mean that he will wait to hire someone until after current NFL coaches become available for interviews — but the Gators have interviewed at least one target. Michael DiRocco of ESPN’s GatorNation blog reports that Muschamp interviewed Kerwin Bell ($), Jacksonville University head coach, on Wednesday.
